Great find in the heart of Edinburgh. Local atmosphere, and cheery service from Sam the bartender. Popped in on a blustery afternoon, good warming food (try the lentil ham soup!) and a wide list of beers, ciders and whisky. Good taste of Edinburgh!

Proper little old school boozer in the middle of the old town with what looks like quite a few locals. But it was £7.10 for a pint of cask ale, which is crazy. And it was only mediocre

Wonderful atmosphere. Quite small for a more casual crowd. Very nice to sit outside when sunny - surrounded by greenery. Multiple drinks to choose from and a menu provided at the tables. Two staff on greeted everybody that came and leaving with a smile. Helped anybody with locations to their best ability when asked. Young lady behind the bar knew an absurd amount of facts about orcas, made me and my partner laugh. Recommend going when visiting or if you are local to the restaurant/pub

Great local bar in Edinburgh with an extensive whisky selection at reasonable prices, and the bar doesn't take advantage of tourists. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in Edinburgh.

The frontage of the pub is very inviting as the flowers are beautiful and the beer garden is well maintained.I did have a wee giggle at the "food menu".Won't say what it is BUT,if you go in you can see for yourselfThe inside is ok and the staff were pleasant enough,but sometimes a private conversation should be private,especially in an environment such as this.Nice enough,worth a look in.

Nice corner bar on Rose Street, quiet relaxed atmosphere to have a drink and get away from the more touristy areas. The whisky tasting flight was great choices and nice price. Also, a great hell beer! Outdoor seating area with awning to cover from the rain and quaint indoor area. Very friendly service.
